Why Choose Gracefully Yours Dance Academy?

We know there are other studios out there, but we REALLY hope you choose us!
Here are just a few reason why you should pick US!

  • Our staff!

Our teachers have dance in their blood—we’ve been dancing for years and years and enjoy our job! We come from a variety of backgrounds—from local studios to home grown from our own studio, we make up a collaboration of over 8 styles of dance between us! We love to further our dance education and most of all—we LOVE kids. We love kids who want to dance too! Ms. Katie in our lobby is nice & friendly too! She’ll greet you with a smile in person or friendly conversation over the phone. She loves meeting new people and is excited about our program and what our studio offers.

  • Our success story!

We have been in Collinsville for 17 years, formerly under the name of Sherry’s School of Dance, switching to Gracefully Yours Dance Academy when Ms. Abby purchased the studio from Mrs. Sherry. Over the past 15 years we have seen many dancers grow up and continue their passion for dance. We have gone on trips, formed dance companies (recreational & competitive), sent dancers to New York for special camps, performed in parades, and so much more!

  • Opportunity!

Many of our staff are homegrown right from our studio. We have a special invite-only Assistant Teacher position and our youngest leaders (as young as 6th grade) can student teach in a class with one of our teachers each week. Our competitive dance company goes to regional competitions and conventions all over the St. Louis area and performs for all types of audiences. Many of our recreational and competitive students come together for a trip to perform at Holiday World, Disney World, or other fun venue! At GYDA we always have opportunities to dance beyond the regular class.

  • Recitals separated by age!

At GYDA we know our youngest dancers won’t want to sit through an hour and a half recital with all of the waiting around—so they get their OWN show. Our older show and younger show each have their own theme—some examples are Annie, Peter Pan, The Little Mermaid, Cats, Finding Nemo, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and many, many more!
